Other Athlete Zoners

Zone Products Used in Training: EicoPro Omega-3 Concentrate (4 Capsules Daily), SeaHealth (1 Oz. Daily), Zone Bars (about 1-2 per day, before / after training), Zone Shakes (about 1-2 per day after a workout or in waffle mix) Zone Cereal (an occasional breakfast), Olive Oil (every time I cook!), Athlete Pro (1-2 scoops in water bottle during workouts)

Benefits Seen With Zone: I definitely feel good when I’ve been taking the EicoPro and SeaHealth consistently. I notice that I am able to recover more quickly from workouts and my energy level in general seems higher.

Best Athletic Accomplishment To Date: Winning Alcatraz (2006)… that was the biggest one for me because I had always wanted to win it (I was 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, then finally won!). I was almost brought to tears running through the finishing shoot because the crowd was amazing and I was so happy!

Favorite Thing About Training: Being fit and the feeling you get during and after a workout… when the endorphins are high and you just feel good.

Least Favorite Thing About Training: Getting up at 5:20AM to swim! I swore I would never do that after swimming in college.

Biggest Challenge Overcome: Getting through 2 pretty major overuse injuries (2000 & 2004) and coming back stronger than I was before each of them. It took a lot of patience and discipline to rehab and get back into race shape.

Competition Rituals: Nothing crazy… I do clear my goggles a lot before the start though.

Favorite Race: Escape from Alcatraz… I also really like Escape to Bermuda (last year)

Hobbies: I love to cook! I enjoy gardening, reading books/magazines, knitting, and just hanging out with my husband Brian.

One Fact No One Knows About You: Both of my pinkies are crooked

If You Weren’t An Athlete, You would Be: A chef or the owner of a Bed & Breakfast

Average Day Consists Of: Swimming from 6-7:30 am, getting coffee at Starbucks with Brian, checking emails and working on jenny’s light foundation, getting in a nap if I'm lucky, biking and/or running in the afternoon, running errands/getting groceries and/or coaching a local Triathlon club in the evening, make dinner, more emails, maybe some TV, and then to bed!

Favorite Charity: www.jennyslight.org

Favorite Zone Food / Flavor: Love the Roasted Peanut and Lemon bars, the Zone cereal, and the Strawberry Protein shakes.
