Joining Dr. Sears for this exciting Zone Cruise is Dr. Julian Bailes, chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the West Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Bailes was the physician treating Randall McCloy, the sole survivor of the Sago Mine disaster. A long-time advocate of power of omega-3 fatty acids and the work of Dr. Sears, one of the first phone calls he made was to Dr. Sears asking him for his recommendations on the amount and type of fish oil that he should use for Randall. Dr. Sears immediately sent Dr. Bailes several bottles OmegaRx and SeaHealth Plus to be mixed together and placed in Randall’s feeding tube.
